Bill Sun (2025)

Bill Sun is a pianist and cellist graduating from Seven Lakes High School. He is a four-time All-State Orchestra member, has been in the Symphony Region 23 Orchestra for a consecutive seven years (serving as the principal cellist in 2020 and 2021), and won the South Texas Piano Competition in 2022. He has also served as the president of Music of Harmony’s Katy Branch, having performed since its inception at senior homes all over the Greater Houston area. Aside from music, Bill is also passionate about biology, having represented the US internationally at the International Biology Olympiads (IBO) and ranked sixth in the world. Bill will be continuing his biological studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall, majoring in computational biology. In his free time, Bill enjoys playing ultimate frisbee.

Bo Wen (2025)

Bo Wen graduated from the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, TX. Throughout his high school years, Bo was a dedicated member of the Houston Youth Symphony for four consecutive seasons beginning in 2021. In February 2022, he had the distinguished honor of performing as principal clarinet with the Honor Performance Series at Carnegie Hall.
His rich musical background also includes participation in Interlochen Arts Camp, the AFA Summer Music Festival, Blue Mountain Chamber Music Festival, and multiple years of success in the TMEA All-Region Auditions, where he earned both 1st and 2nd chair placements. He is also a two-time recipient of the Outstanding Performer award at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest (TSSEC).
Bo began studying clarinet in the 3rd grade and has been a student of Dr. Winnie Fan since 5th grade. He has also served as co-president of Music of Harmony, a student-led volunteer music group in the Greater Houston area, where he shares his music through community outreach. In addition to his numerous performances, he actively seeks opportunities to grow through competitions and auditions.
Bo is passionate about the clarinet and looks forward to continuing his musical and academic journey at Indiana University, where he will double major in Music and Business.

Yutai Long (2024)
Computer Science | Carnegie Mellon University
Yutai Long began his clarinet journey since 5th grade and has been studying with Dr. Winnie Fan for 6 years. Yutai was a member of Houston Youth Symphony from 2021-23. His musical activities include the 2023 TMEA All-Stater. winner of 2022 Houston Young Artists' Concert, Audience Award recipient from 2021 International Music Competition, and Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest Superior rating.
Yutai actively perform with Music of Harmony volunteer group and founded a volunteer team to perform for senior communities around Energy Corridor. Ever since he picked up the clarinet, the journey has made him more patient and persistent in overcoming difficulties. Besides music, Yutai enjoys biking, playing basketball, and programming games.
Yutai graduated from Streford High School and is majoring in Computer Science at the Carnegie Mellon University.

Evan Zhang (2023)
Computer Science | UT-Austin
Evan Zhang has been learning clarinet/bass clarinet from Dr. Winnie Fan for 7 years. He has earned multiple awards spanning from TMEA All-State to UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Division 1. Evan was first introduced to the bass clarinet in his last year in middle school and since then, he has always enjoyed it. He is also the recipient of 2023 John Philip Sousa Band Award from Cinco Ranch High School.
Outside of school, Evan loves to perform voluntarily at retirement homes. He enjoys working with others and bringing joy to the community through music. He has had many hobbies and has recently taken interest in software development after seeing many technological advancements.
Evan graduated from Cinco Ranch High School and is majoring in computer science at The University of Texas at Austin.

Fiona Condron (2023)
Phycology and Pre-Medicine | UT-Austin
Fiona Condron is a senior at Kinder HSPVA for the clarinet who has over ten years of experience with music. She has competed in TMEA competitions with the clarinet for six years and has earned third chair in the All-Region orchestra, and qualified for the All-State level. For the past five years she has also earned gold medals in solo and ensemble competitions.
Fiona has studied under Dr. Winnie Fan for the past 5 years, and she is extremely grateful for her guidance. Music has always been a comfort to Fiona, whether it be listening to it or playing it. Along with the clarinet, she also plays piano and dances multiple times a week.
In her free time, Fiona enjoys doing unique makeup, crocheting, or spending time with her two cats. She majors in psychology and pursue a pre-medicine route at the University of Texas at Austin. To continue her music career, she hopes to perform in college music ensembles.
